Nailbourne Horticultural Society

The Horticultural Society is one of Bridge’s oldest village societies. We have records of meetings going back to 1911 when it was known initially as Bridge & District Horticultural Society. It subsequently changed its name to the Nailbourne Horticultural Society in 1976 to reflect membership from the surrounding area. However further
evidence has come to light that it was in fact founded in 1871 and held Annual Flower Shows way back then.

During the year we hold both a Spring and a Summer Show in which we include some classes for everyone to enter. We also arrange evening talks on a variety of topics connected with gardening. On a summer evening we usually arrange an outing to a garden or somewhere of interest fairly locally. Come along to one of our meetings and see if it appeals to you. Details of our meetings appear on posters around the village, on the village website, in the Parish Magazine and in the village community news section in the Gazette.
